This project in Downtown Cody presents an opportunity to celebrate the traditions and values of the West while setting a responsible and captivating example for future development along Sheridan Ave, contributing to and encouraging Cody’s western identity.
The project is a three-story infill development that seamlessly integrates into the fabric of the downtown
district. The first two levels engage the street front with familiar materials like brick, stone, and abundant glazing on the first level, fostering a vibrant connection with the street. Meanwhile, the third level subtly recedes to honor the historic character and scale of the surrounding architecture.
At ground level, the design is anchored by a photo gallery, inviting passersby to engage with the art within. Adjacent to this, the second level offers a rentable commercial space, accompanied by a modest outdoor patio. The third level is conceived as a rentable event space, offering both interior and exterior experiences.
